Awards Day

Unfortunately, the Coronavirus shutdown prevented us from enjoying our annual Awards Day together, but we certainly haven't forgotten all of the accomplishments of our students this year and would like to celebrate them virtually.

The physical awards - certificates, honor roll pins and/or trophies - may be picked up at the school on the drop-off/pick-up days as follows:
  • 8th grade drop-off/pick-up day is Tuesday, May 26th from 8-10am and 4-6pm.
  • 7th grade drop-off/pick-up day is Wednesday, May 27th from 8-10am and 4-6pm.
  • 6th grade drop-off/pick-up day is Thursday, May 28th from 8-10am and 4-6pm.
On your designated day, please make sure you enter the 7th and 8th grade parking lot, closest to the Shaver Complex, to drive thru and turn in all textbooks, library books, calculators, and dry-cleaned chorus dresses. Students may also turn in their band and strings instruments, and pay fines and fees. NO chromebooks will be turned in as all Oconee County students will keep these over summer break.

It is important to note that all items to be returned must be done through this drive-thru service as everyone must remain in their cars. Also, no items will be collected in our main office.

Once all items are turned in in the 7th & 8th grade parking lot, cars will then travel to the 6th grade parking lot to pick up students’ personal items, purchased yearbooks, and awards through this drive-thru service.

The CDC’s (Center for Disease Control) guidelines for social distancing suggests to only have one person in the car, if possible. If this is not possible, please have the passenger seat empty and have items to be returned in a disposable bag in the front seat or trunk of your car for our staff to pick up easily.
