Seneca Middle School's 2019-2020 SC Junior Scholars
What student likes to take a test? Moreover, what student volunteers and pays a fee in order to take a test? At Seneca Middle School a very special group of students did just that. Based on previous standardized test scores, these students were invited as eighth graders to take the same PSAT test that high school sophomores and juniors take in preparation for entry into college. Ten of these students scored high enough to be named South Carolina Junior Scholars for 2019-2020. Those ten were: Sidney Doyle, Abigail Johnson, Zoe Liedlich, Claire Lindsey, Lydia Panu, Sean Reynolds, Jesse Smithson, Alice Story, Turner Wilson, and Cesar Vite. Along with bragging rights, this honor will bring with it invitations to participate in various summer academic enrichment opportunities at a number of South Carolina colleges and universities.
