Summer is usually a time of fun and sun. For some, however, participating in the arts is their own form of fun. Recently, three Seneca Middle School students learned that they will have an unparalleled opportunity to connect their summer plans with fun in the arts. They were thrilled to learn that they have been accepted into the South Carolina Governor’s School of the Arts Summer Discovery Program based upon their achievement and promise in various areas of the arts. Kyleigh Evatt will attend the program in the area of creative writing. Percussionist Madelyn Lee will attend for music and Audrey Hunt will attend for visual arts. What a fun way to spend the summer!
