One would think that preparing for the National Championship playoff games and the quickly approaching holiday season might consume the attention of Dabo Swinney and his football players. However, Swinney, his wife Kathleen, and his players, in conjunction with the All In Team Foundation, Call Me MISTER, Bi-Lo and Nike, graciously took time out in their busy schedules in mid-December to show just what it means to be “All In” at Clemson University. These busy individuals hosted dozens of students from twelve area schools for a day filled with individual interaction with Clemson football players. Eighteen sixth graders from Seneca Middle School were fortunate to be among those in attendance.

The participants were treated to personal tours of the Tigers working environment including their meeting room, locker room, weight room, and game room. They were also served lunch in the team dining room along with a visit into Death Valley with an opportunity to touch Howard’s Rock and run down the hill with the Clemson Tigers. Finally, they were guided across the street into the Indoor Practice Field where they were greeted with an inspirational message from Coach Swinney. Afterwards, the Tigers football players presented all attendees with Nike tennis shoes and Bi-Lo gift cards.

The students were accompanied by Seneca Middle School and School District of Oconee County personnel Mr. Daniel Spencer (a Call me MISTER member), Mr. Michael Hamilton, Dr. Debbie Cox, Mr. Josh Shepherd as well as School Board Chair Andy Inabinet. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity surely resulted in lifetime memories for the participants who are “All In” with sincere thank you’s to everyone who helped make this field trip a truly special experience!

The Seneca Middle School students in attendance were: Dominick Blassingame, Anna Chaney, Grace Cubias, Keshun Ellington, Alivia Gould, Emily Green, Austin Griffin, Alex Hackett, Zy Haymond, Chiara Hunter, Chloe Hunter, Elyssia Jesmer, Landen Morgan, Walter Morris, Allie Savage, Stephanie Shear, Ashton Stidham, and Savannah Woods.
