A measure of natural talent, quality instruction, and hard work combined to enable several Seneca Middle School students to earn spots in the South Carolina Band Directors Association (SCBDA) Region 1 Honor Band or the All-State Band for the 2018-2019 school year. Sydney Sorber, Sidney Doyle, Shelby Orren, Brady Bowen, and Elliot Moulder were chosen among students from Oconee, Anderson, Pickens, and Greenville counties for the Region 1 Honor Band with Hazael Carrera and Logan Neal named as alternates. These accomplishments were impressive enough but one additional student, Ruby “Sam” Prosser earned a place in the All-State Band as 4th chair clarinet and also recently attended the All-State clinic. These students are all taught at Seneca Middle School by Band Director Daniel Titus.
