Not only is the polar bear a massive animal but a massive subject as well. This majestic animal was recently the theme of the Clemson University Biology Merit Exam taken by select middle and high school biological science students across the state. This college-level exam is quite rigorous and really plumbs the knowledge of those taking the test. Three Seneca Middle School students recently received medals in recognition of their deep knowledge and comprehension of this endangered animal. Craig White and Garrick Reeder each received a 1st Honorable Mention award. They tied for fourth highest score out of 330 middle school students from across the state. Berkeley Cannon received 2nd Honorable Mention award for his score which equaled a tie for the fifth highest among middle school students.
